Kam směřuje léčivý přípravek Prolia po 15 letech na českém trhu?Said at the congress

Léčivý přípravek Prolia (denosumab) je humánní monoklonální protilátka proti RANKL proteinu (ligand pro receptor aktivující nukleární faktor kappa B). Navázání na RANKL znemožní tomuto proteinu aktivaci RANK receptoru na povrchu osteklastů. Tím dochází k jejich inhibici a snížení resorbce kostní tkáně. Používá se při léčbě osteoporózy a úbytku kostní hmoty z jiných příčin (např. hormonální terapie, kortikoterapie). Právě přípravku Prolia, který je pro pacienty v České republice dostupný již 15 let, se věnovalo sympozium společnosti Amgen v rámci 28. kongresu českých a slovenských osteologů v Brně.
