Osteoporosis - a dominant and initial manifestation of nonsecretory multiple myelomaCase reports

Bone myeloma with a varying degree of skeletal involvement is a typical sign of one of the most common malignant haematological diseases - multi­ ple myeloma. In cases of a discreet involvement of the axial skeleton without typical osteolytic lesions and in the absence of clear laboratory findings the diagnosis of this disease may at first be somewhat difficult - the consequence are possible diagnostic errors and an inadequate and late initiation of specific treatment.
