Vážení čtenáři, milé kolegyně a milí kolegové,

tématem prvního letošního čísla Clinical Osteology je onkologie a kost. Problematika kostního postižení u onkologických onemocnění totiž představuje rozsáhlou oblast, která zahrnuje škálu jednotek – od primárních nádorů kostí, přes metastatické postižení skeletu, až po změny kostního metabolismu indukované protinádorovou léčbou či po vzácné paraneoplastické syndromy vyvolané tumory. Vzhledem k prodlužujícímu se přežití pacientů i rozvoji moderních terapeutických modalit nabývá tato tématika stále většího významu v každodenní klinické praxi. V tomto čísle přinášíme výběr pěti odborných článků, které společně dobře demonstrují komplexnost této problematiky...
